What you may not know is that locally-owned RESQ Health & Safety Training offers certifications and instruction in the great city of Columbus. One of the areas available is to be trained in
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support. If you are a healthcare provider in the area, it is vital to become PALS certified. These courses are yet another option available with RESQ.
Respiratory failure, shock, cardiopulmonary arrest and dysrhythmias in children differ from those in adults. In 1988, the American Heart Association implemented the PALS program and since that time significant advances have been made to help you deal with any situation. A few of the great advantages of taking this course with RESQ is the local availability and teachers from the Hoosier state. The PALS provider course and renewal course is intended for pediatricians, emergency physicians, family physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies.
The
PALS program teaches a systematic, organized approach for the evaluation and management of acutely ill or injured children. Early identification and treatment of respiratory failure and shock in children improve survival, from a dismal 10 percent to an encouraging 85 percent (according to AHA). Healthcare providers who care these children have a tremendous opportunity to save lives through implementation of the PALS information.
In Columbus and surrounding areas, RESQ Training now offers classes at the Commons. They are lead by our experienced instructors who have real-life experience.
