According to the American Heart Association, effective bystander CPR, provided immediately after sudden cardiac arrest, can double or triple a victim’s chance of survival. Unfortunately, the AHA only trains about 12 million people annually – roughly four (4) percent of the US population. Since heart disease accounts for more than ¼ of all deaths in Indiana (a major cause of cardiac arrest), don’t you think it's a good idea to be trained?
