Bloodborne PathogensIf you come into contact with blood or other body fluids there's a risk of infection for diseases like HIV and hepatitis B and C. The OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard provides guidelines for reducing that risk. RESQ Health & Safety Training Bloodborne Pathogens training programs meet OSHA requirements by providing instruction and guidelines for a company's exposure control plan. This course meets or exceeds OSHA - 29 CFR 1910.1030. Our program explains how disease is transmitted and how to control exposure through precautions and personal protective clothing and equipment. We offer a sample exposure control plan. Optional modules include: Information on tuberculosis. Intended Audience:Individuals who may come in contact with infectious materials as part of their job like Dental Hygienists, Dentists, Lab Technicians, Healthcare Professionals, Nurses, Medical Residents, Home Health Aides, Certified Nursing Assistants, Emergency Medical Technicians and others. *** Each student that successfully completes a course, will receive a Course Completion Card. The card will indicate which course the holder completed, and demonstrate proof of their proficiency. Initial Course Length: 1.5-2 Hours (Tuberculosis add 30 minutes) |
