HeartSaver First Aid Training

The Heartsaver First Aid Course provides the skills to effectively assess and maintain life from the critical minutes immediately following an emergency until the arrival of emergency medical services personnel. Students participating in this course will learn how to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive. It has been developed using the same evidence-based process as all American Heart Association courses.

HeartSaver First Aid is divided into three courses. All have been developed using the same evidence-based process, and following the guidelines set forth by The American Heart Association.

****All students that successfully complete one of these courses will receive the appropriate certification card, which should be carried by the individual, to show their competency in the outlined training.

HeartSaver First Aid Courses:

>>Basic HeartSaver First Aid
The Basic Heartsaver First Aid course is for people who are assigned to be basic first responders to emergency situations in the workplace or community.

>>Basic HeartSaver First Aid plus CPR
This course is the same as the Basic First Aid course, but also includes lessons and certification in heartsaver CPR.

>>Basic HeartSaver First Aid plus CPR and AED
This course teaches students heartsaver basic First Aid, and also includes Heartsaver CPR and AED training.
