Heartsaver CPR

The Heartsaver CPR course is modular to provide the flexibility to meet your training needs. Modules cover adult and pediatric resuscitation. Heartsaver CPR is for employees who need CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training and a course completion card. The intended audience includes corporate employees, security personnel, day care workers, firefighters, police officers, airline personnel, baby-sitters, family members of people at high risk for sudden cardiac death (SCD), and those who want to learn CPR.

*** Each student that successfully completes a course, will receive a Course Completion Card. The card will indicate which course the holder completed, and demonstrate proof of their proficiency.

CPR (Adult)

  1. The adult Chain of Survival and the importance of calling 9-1-1
  2. Signs and symptoms of cardiac arrest and stroke
  3. Techniques of adult CPR (ABC's)
    • Airway -- Opening the airway
    • Breathing -- Checking breathing and performing rescue breathing if needed (With and without barrier device)
    • Circulation -- Checking for signs of circulation and performing compressions and ventilations
  4. Rescue techniques for choking adult

Course Length: 2 Hours

 

CPR (Adult - Child - Infant)

  1. The adult, child and infant Chain of Survival and the importance of calling 9-1-1
  2. Signs and symptoms of cardiac arrest and stroke
  3. Techniques of adult, child and infant CPR (ABC's)
    • Airway -- Opening the airway
    • Breathing -- Checking breathing and performing rescue breathing if needed (With and without barrier device)
    • Circulation -- Checking for signs of circulation and performing compressions and ventilations
  4. Rescue techniques for choking adults, children and infants
  5. Child safety and injury prevention

Course Length: 4.5 Hours

 

AED and CPR (Adult)
