HOW TO GET YOUR AHA CPR AED CERTIFICATION WITH CPR EXPRESS
CPR EXPRESS is the most convenient way to complete your CPR certification in three simple steps!
Purchase the online certification class you need. Initial and renewal students take the same course when it is online. Once you have made the purchase you will receive two emails; first your receipt and 2nd a key-code with subsequent link to the online cognitive learning section.
COMPLETE COURSE ONLINE
Complete the online cognitive training portion of class when it is convenient for you. When you have finished print your course "Certificates of Completion”. This is not your AHA certification. You will need to bring this with you when you complete step three.
CPR for Teachers, Workplace & Lay Rescuers
All-inclusive Online Class + Skills Session
This course is meant for the general public that need the CPR certification for regulatory or other job requirements, including Indiana Department of Education. Training includes "CPR-Heimlich Maneuver-AED."
Heartsaver® CPR AED skills lessons include adult CPR, AED use, and the Heimlich Maneuver. This course teaches skills with AHA’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique. This technique allows instructors to observe the students and provide feedback during the skills check-off session after completing the online portion of the course.
This is an AHA blended learning course. A student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner online, followed by a Hands-On Skills Session in person with an AHA Instructor. You will receive the same American Heart Association Certification Card upon completion as you would for a classroom based training.
"CPR Express is awesome!"
How do I schedule the skills check-off portion if the certification class requires it?

Usually you will receive your key code via email within 5 minutes of purchasing although it may take up to 24 hours.
Can I take a break while working on an online course?
Yes. You can enter and exit the online course section as often as you need. Your completed exercises will be saved if you logout or are inactive for 30 minutes. However, courses that require an online test, the test must be completed in a single session with no breaks.
Can I take my American Heart Association BLS, ACLS or PALS 100% online?

If the course requires an online test, how many attempts do I have to pass?
That depends on the course or certification you are taking. You are allowed at least two attempts to pass an online course but may be permitted more for certain courses.
Are there different courses for initial or renewal certification?
No. Students needing initial certification or renewal take the same online course.
I found a website saying I can complete my certificate 100% online. Is it legit?
No. There is no major nationally recognized training program in the U.S. that endorses CPR, First Aid or American Heart Association's ACLS or PALS without practice and evaluation of hands-on-skills. Watch how to avoid online imitators video.
How long do I have to complete a course?
