Prerequisites for the Instructor Course

To attend the AHA Heartsaver Instructor Course, you must complete the following before class.

1. Hold a Current AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid certification

A current AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid certification is required prior to enrolling in the Instructor Course.

2. Purchase Your Instructor Manual

You are required to have the current AHA BLS/Heartsaver Instructor Manual for this course.

3. Complete the Instructor Essentials Online Course

You must also complete the Heartsaver Instructor Essentials Online Course prior to attending the in-person instructor training.
You will need your Instructor Manual in order to complete this online course.

Items to Bring to Class

Please bring the following items with you on the day of your instructor class:

• A copy of your valid AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid Card

• Your Certificate of Completion from the Instructor Essentials Online Course

• Your AHA Heartsaver Instructor Manual
